Re-building the runway at France’s second biggest airport is not an everyday occurrence… The renovation and upgrading of runway 3 at Paris-Orly airport, built soon after the WWII and extended in 1959, had become essential. Colas Île-de-France Normandie secured the contract for the project, as part of a consortium with Colas Projects, Spie batignolles valérian, JDC Airports and Cegelec.

Liz Truss, Department of International Trade Secretary, today announced that UK Export Finance (UKEF) has provided €43 million worth of support for a project by Colas (Gabon) UK to upgrade roads in Gabon. Colas has had a significant presence in Gabon for 50 years. Colas Ltd approached UK Export Finance seeking investment in a prestigious and high-impact project to upgrade 86km of roads in Libreville.
