Site/ Section Engineer

About the Role
This is a new vacancy due to the continuous success and expansion of Colas contracting and a plethora of bidding opportunities within the industry. Colas Ltd are currently experiencing substantial growth at present as a result of strategy to become a Tier One Contractor in the next three years, working on major projects. Works consist of major highways and associated civils works such as flood alleviation / defence.

The Site Engineer / Section Engineer will be responsible in managing the site engineering requirements demanded in the delivery of a project / section of works / subcontractor, to meet the construction programme. They will be comfortable working and coordinating across larger teams and in doing so they will be required to meet all Health, Safety and Quality standards.

About you

You will be someone that demonstrates the ability to problem solve, experience of managing workload in conjunction with site and construction works. You will have a keen eye for attention to detail and be able to demonstrate your ability to communicate effectively and update team members where and when required. Highways or / and major earthworks experience necessary due to the nature of the works carried out by this area of the business.
