Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Birmingham

Accountabilities

- Applications for payment to contract timescales.

- Project actual costs and accruals are finalised within reporting cycle.

- Earned Value Reports.

- Negotiation and agreement of variations with supply chain and Owner Participant.

- Resolution of contractual disputes.

- Cost control and administration.

- Subcontractor procurement and management.

- Forecast Final Cost Reports.

- Processing and agreement of Applications for payment to contract timescales for all Alliance Partners.

- Ensure all Project annual costs are accounted for within budgets with liaison with the Delivery Teams.

- Subcontract payments made in line with contractual commitments and notifications sent.

- Negotation and agreement of variations with supply chain and Owner Participaint.

- Resolution of contractual disputes.

- Cost control and administration.

- Subcontractor procurement and management.

 

Interdependencies

- Interface with project and engineering teams.

- Interface with finance and procurement teams.

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications

- A construction commercial qualification (such as quantity surveying or commercial management) preferred.

Knowledge/Experience

- 10 years' experience in a similar role.

- RICS (or equivalent) preferred, but not essential.

- Working in a finance or commercial function with the engineering or construction sector.

- Knowledge of finance systems.

- Cost and budget administration.
