Our Portsmouth team are dedicated to executing all maintenance and asset management for our long-term contract with Portsmouth City Council.

 

About the Role

You’ll assist the Operations Manager and Highway Team to meet Colas and client objectives and needs within Highways maintenance, street lighting, landscaping, arboriculture, traffic signals and street cleansing.  You will acquire a portfolio of technical knowledge and transferable skills within the Highways Department that will hold you in good stead across all aspects of Asset management delivery.

You’ll assist in the delivery of periodic client reports and work with the Operations manager in delivering contractual requirements safely and in a timely fashion. You’ll constantly strive to ensure that Colas’ safety policy is implemented and understood fully.

 

About you

You will be a Graduate Engineer who can demonstrate strong ICT skills and be conversant with MS office suite. Of course, you’ll bring excellent written, oral communication and organisational skills.

Basic MS project experience would be an advantage along with the desire to develop existing skills and acquire new technical competences to enhance personal and team capability.

You should have a proven ability to work within a team environment with a dedicated approach to meet project deadlines and have enthusiasm to embrace and participate in career development initiatives.

  • Membership of a relevant professional institution or working towards desirable professional qualification
  • CSCS card
  • Driving license
