Surfacing
Colas offer traditional surfacing in addition to our specialist
and sustainable treatments that treat a particular carriageway or
footway defect.
Colas' surfacing teams operate throughout the UK providing a
range of surfacing options including the more traditional surfacing
treatments of Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) and Hot Rolled Asphalt
(HRA) as well as some of our more specialist surfacing
treatments.
Our experienced and dedicated teams utilise specialist equipment
and an in house laboratory, ensuring quality in materials and
consistency of application is permanently achieved.
Investment into surfacing
At Colas our commitment to
technical development and research is integral to the services we
deliver and the future materials we introduce to the market. Our
parent company the International Colas Group committed an annual
research and development budget of €70million in 2010.
To date Colas SA have developed a portfolio of 130 patents.
The investment and creation of new surfacing options and
techniques is vast.
