Streetprint
StreetPrint is a patented and licensed system, and has been
utilised by Colas as a versatile and innovative paving solution.
StreetPrint combines the flexibility and strength of asphalt with
leading edge coating technology to produce realistic brick, slate,
stone and other design effects. This can be achieved on new or
existing asphalt surfaces that are in a good or adequate
condition.
Our specially trained and licensed teams use purposely designed
installation equipment which features a unique heating component.
The process begins with the asphalt being heated, followed
immediately by woven steel templates being pressed into the warm
asphalt. Within a short time the templates are removed, leaving the
pattern impressed on the surface of the asphalt.
The final stage of the process is the application of a UV stable
water based epoxy modified acrylic coating. This is sprayed over
the surface to colour the asphalt to create the desired effect.
StreetPrint offers multiple colours, multiple patterns, customer
blended colours and custom designed templates all to achieve the
customers design specification. More common designs include real
concrete paving on footways, natural stone or brick.
StreetPrint also removes the disadvantages of block paved
installations such as weed growth, extended installation time, high
labour costs, serious cracking and block movement. It also avoids
the increasing burden caused by pedestrians pursuing claims due to
trip hazards.
