Street Lighting
The Highway Electrical division of Colas specialises in
installing and maintaining street lighting. Working with main
contractors, councils and the Highways Agency, we support a
partnering approach wherever possible and can arrange for the
design of schemes, project managing them through to completion.
Alternatively, we can work with your own designers to produce
optimum solutions, drawing on our extensive
experience.
We have expert knowledge of information management, control
systems and energy efficiency to help you reduce your running costs
and ensure that lamps are not burning at inappropriate times. While
running an efficient operation, we are acutely aware of safety
issues: the safety of the public and our operatives is
paramount.
We are registered through the NICEIC for electrical works. We
are actively engaged with trade associations in the development of
a safe system of work to facilitate the deregulation of electrical
supplies for highway lighting and signage.
