Colas' Birmingham office extension opened
Fri, 06 Jan 2012
Almost 9 years to the day after the original Colas office was
first built in Birmingham, Chief Executive Lee Rushbrooke, opened a
new extension during a visit by the Board of Directors.
At a cost of over £250,000 the new extension and depot upgrade
will provide an additional 9 offices and a state of the art, open
plan space, equipped with hi-tech communication and collaboration
equipment specifically designed to accommodate bidding and project
teams.
This significant investment in one of Colas' main regional
offices demonstrates the company's continuing commitment to
expanding and improving their facilities as their business
grows.
Colas have had a depot at the current Birmingham location since
1985 and it is currently the main operating base for their
Airfields, Surface Dressing and Recycling businesses. In addition,
their Plant & Transport department have large workshops which
support the contract units operating from Birmingham.

longest serving members of staff at the office and Jochen Troeger,
Recycling Manager and landlord, who has overseen and project
managed the new building.
