Road Retexturing

Colas have operated three TurboBlast retexturing machines in the UK since 1993.  The process has been used in a variety of applications including cleaning steel bridge decks prior to waterproofing and for the removal of road markings.  TurboBlast can also be used to restore the skid resistant properties of roads by retexturing and reprofiling the aggregate.

TurboBlast:

Respect for the Environment

An important feature of TurboBlast is that no water is used in the process of cleaning or retexturing, eliminating the environmental issues associated with the use and disposal of contaminated waste water.

TurboBlast dry cleans by propelling particles of steel abrasive at the surface. The steel abrasive is then automatically and continuously recovered for reuse, resulting in a highly efficient, economical and environmentally friendly operation.

Whether the requirement is for the removal of road markings, the cleaning of steel bridge decks or rubber removal from industrial floors, Colas TurboBlast is an all year round solution.
