Mobile Asphalt Plant
Colas Limited has an Ermont TSM225 continous mixer mobile asphalt plant which is either used for its own operations or is available for hire.
The plant has recently been accredited to ISO 9001:2000 under National Highway Sector Scheme 14, together with the latest environmental and quality standards, and is available to provide full production support for all major projects.
All components are trailer mounted and require no foundations, enabling a delivery to commissioning period of seven to ten days. The plant is powered by generators, which are also trailer mounted, and provides 45 tonnes hot storage capacity for mixed material. Dependant on types of material being produced, the plant has a rated output of 225 tonnes per hour at 4% moisture. Bitumen storage capacity is 150 tonnes and two grades can be stored simultaneously. Burner fuel storage capacity is 50 tonnes.
The plant has been successfully used at Sumburgh Airport, Islay Airport, Rockingham Motor Speedway, Jersey Airport, the 15km extension to the M77 and the 9km dual carriageway link to the Glasgow Southern Orbital. Details of typical layouts, trailer weights and dimensions are available.
