Gripstrip
Colas has launched Gripstrip, a self-adhesive bituminous sealing tape for over-banding road surface joints and cracks. Gripstrip is an easy, effective and long lasting solution to surface cracking, reinstatements and the sealing of manhole covers. Supplied in 15m rolls, it is extremely safe to use as it is applied directly to the road surface, either manually or with a specially adapted trolley. It has been specifically designed to seal upon application and uses traffic movement to seal further down into the crack or joint. Gripstrip's ease of application ensures traffic congestion is kept to a minimum and it also exceeds the skid resistance value of SRV55, as required by the New Roads and Street Works Act. Gripstrip is not suitable for application in cold or damp weather.
