Bond & Tack Coats
Colbond Proprietary is a polymer modified bitumen emulsion as specified in BS 434-1: 1984 Class K1 and complying with SHW Clause 920.
Colbond is designed for use with thin, ultra thin and porous asphalt overlays. It will not adhere to tracks or tyres.
Coltex is a proprietary polymer modified bitumen emulsion designed for use with integral sprayer/paver systems. It is ideal for ultra thin overlays.
Surfix / Leotak / Leocatic Spray are rapid acting cationic bitumen emulsions to BS 434-1: 1984 . They are ideal for priming surfaces prior to laying a bituminous carpet or for curing concrete by sealing against water evaporation. Each is characterised by its excellent adhesion properties in damp conditions.
