Colas manufacture a range of quarry binders for use in the production of coated stone products.
Colade Deferred Set Binder is a proprietary binder designed for the production of high performance deferred set macadams. Ideal for close graded surface course and other dense macadams, it produces consistent macadam mixes with exceptional stockpile life.
As an alternative, Colade Masterbatch is a concentrate that can be added to straight run bitumen via a blending system to produce a deferred set binder.
Leocatic Mix is a bitumen based emulsion binder designed to produce deferred set and storage grade macadam. It is best suited to standard open to medium gradings. These will remain workable for up to two weeks in a covered stockpile and have improved handling and performance characteristics.
Super Leocatic Mix An enhanced Leocatic Mix, suitable for permanent reinstatements to footways and cycle paths. It complies with the requirements of Appendix A10 of the HAUC Specification for Reinstatements of Openings in Highways:1992 and Sections 71 and 131 of the New Roads and Street Works Act:1991. Super Leocatic Mix has exceptional coating and adhesion properties together with low temperature workability.
Colas Hawkmix is a cold mix binder for the manufacture of permanent cold-lay surfacing materials. Hawkmix complies with the requirements of PCSMs under Appendix A10 of the HAUC Specification for Reinstatement of Openings in Highways: 1992 and Sections 71 and 131 of the New Roads and Street Works Act: 1991.
