H4
Colas H4 is a hot poured joint sealant designed for use with reinstatements and asphalt / macadam overlays. H4 is a 40/60 penetration grade bitumen that complies with BS594: Part 2: 2002 - Jointing materials and BSEN 12591: 2000.
H4 is specially formulated to seal the vertical faces of horizontal pavement joints and meets the requirements of the New Roads and Streetworks Act 1991. H4 is supplied in 12.5kg and 25kg siliconised easy strip cartons and 25kg metal pails with handles. Being leak proof, the pails are particularly useful during extremely hot weather. For a 100mm vertical joint face and a 2mm coated thickness of H4, a 25kg pack will seal approximately 125 linear metres of joint.
