Dennis Gregg, Business Manager National Traffic Management
Dennis Gregg has been involved in temporary traffic
management for over 21 years. Dennis started his career as an
operative in 1991 and gained experience as a foreman and Traffic
Safety and Control Officer on major schemes throughout the UK.
Dennis joined Colas in 2001 in the position of Traffic Management
Supervisor based at our Swalwell depot in the north east of
England. Dennis' career progressed as he developed the business and
has been awarded promotions over the years to Assistant Contracts
Manager, Contracts Manager, National Contracts Manager and in
September 2009 to National Business Manager for Traffic
Management.
Robert Cummings, Contracts Management
Robert started off in traffic management working for RTM
in 1994. He went on to work for a number of TM companies before
joining Colas in 2001. Robert started with Colas as a TM Operative
and has since progressed through the ranks of TM Chargehand, TM
Foreman, Works manager, Assistant Contracts manager to Contracts
Manager. Robert is responsible for all works in the North of the UK
with depots in East Kilbride, Newcastle and Leeds. Robert oversees
the supply of all TM for the Highways Agency MAC 14 and 12
Contracts as well as all other contracts within the North of
England and Scotland.
Kevin Robinson, Contracts Management
Kevin started in traffic management as a general operative
in 1985 for RTM Services based in the Northeast of England, working
his way up to Works Manager before leaving in 1997, after a short
spell working outside the industry he then joined Alfred McAlpine
as Contracts Supervisor managing all traffic management works on
the CMF contracts in Highways Agency Areas 9 and 10. He then moved
onto Area 7 as a Senior Contracts Supervisor managing all works in
that area.
Kevin joined Colas traffic management as an Assistant
Contracts Manager in 2009 working his way up to Contracts Manager
in 2010. Kevin is responsible for managing the Highways Agency MAC
10 and 7 all works in the south of the UK with depots in Grantham
Liverpool and Portsmouth.
Neil Jones, Assistant Contracts Manager
Neil Jones has over 13 years experience within the Traffic
Management starting 1998 working for Premier People. Neil then
joined Alfred McAlpine in 2001 as a traffic management operative.
In 2006-7 Neil continued to work as an operative, now working for
Carillion Traffic Management, on the Highways Agency MAC 7 contract
Neil worked through the ranks to a senior foreman position in. In
2008/9 Neil was promoted to a Contracts Supervisor where he worked
on the mobilisation of the A1 Dishforth to Barton Contract at
Dishforth. Neil joined Colas Traffic Management in 2009 as a
Contracts Supervisor and in June 2010 was promoted to Assistant
Contracts Manager to manage contracts on MAC 7 for A-one+ and all
other work in the same geographical area.
Barry Cummings, Assistant Contracts Manager - Colas Traffic Management
Barry Cummings has over 12 years experience in traffic
management. Barry started his career with Road Traffic Management
in 1998 then moved to Alfred McAlpine in 1999 then subsequently to
Colas in 2002. While working on the Portsmouth PFI contract Barry
earned a promotion to foreman and was moved to the Leeds depot in
2005. At the Leeds depot Barry was responsible for the supervision
of the Leeds Traffic Management contract and the East Riding
Traffic Management contract between 2005 and 2010. Following his
successes in these contracts Barry was promoted to Assistant
Contracts Manager in June 2010 and currently manages all Traffic
Management from the Leeds depot.
Matthew Turner, Assistant Contracts Manager - Colas Traffic Management
Matthew Turner started his traffic management career
working as an operative in June 2001 and has progressed through the
ranks up to the position of Assistant Contracts Manager working for
Colas Traffic Management. During this time Matthew has worked on a
number of major schemes for Colas including most recently the new
Tyne crossing. Matthew is also very involved in the day to day
running of all traffic management currently deployed on the
Highways Agency MAC 14 network. During his time working for Colas
Matthew has been involved in the design, planning and operational
aspects of the industry and using his expertise and guidance has
helped Colas' clients find the solutions they were looking
for.
